The Clown License is a consumable item used to summon a Clown. It can be bought from Deviantt after one has already been defeated and the world is in Hardmode.

The Clown License will only work at night or if the player is underground (at or below the cavern layer). If used during the daytime or above the cavern layer, the Clown will not spawn and the item will not be consumed.
