Vanilla Changes

Fargo's Mutant Mod adds a number of modifications to vanilla Terraria's mechanics and items in order to improve quality of life.

Items

• Any items that have a higher stack size than 10 have their maximum stack size increased to 9999.
• Silt Blocks, Slush Blocks, and Desert Fossils can be used much faster, massively speeding up use at Extractinators.
• When the player has a stack of 30 potions in their inventory, they automatically gain the buff(s) that they would provide. This effect can be toggled in config.
• Crates now have additional items that may be obtained from them:
  • Wooden Crates: Wooden Boomerang, Wand of Sparking, Spear.
  • Golden Crates: Gold Chest items.
  • Golden Lock Boxes: Valor.
• The Money Trough will automatically follow the player around. This effect can be toggled in config.
• Added hotkey Magic Mirror
• Christmas and Halloween can both be toggled in config.
• Ammunition and consumable items will not be consumed if there are 3996 in the player's inventory and the world is in Hardmode.
• Heavy Work Benches count as Work Benches for crafting.
• Informational Accessories work while in piggy banks.
• Water fountains force the surrounding biome to the kind of water that they display, with the Pure Water Fountain forcing it to ocean and the Hallowed Water Fountain only working in Hardmode.

Enemies

• The King Slime's Treasure Bag may additionally drop Slime Staff.
• While Brain of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, or Plantera are alive, the player is considered to be in their respective biomes (Crimson, Corruption, and Jungle).
• Blood Zombies have a 0.5% chance to drop Bladed Glove and Bloody Machete.
• Bananarang drop rate has been increased to 100%.
• Gladiator armor pieces' drop rates have been increased to 33%.
• Sandstorm in a Bottle has a 5% chance to be dropped by Sand Elementals

Town NPCs

• Rotten Eggs deal 20× damage to Town NPCs.
• Angler Quests reset instantly.
• All vanilla and Fargo's Mod Town NPCs can be caught using a Bug Net, allowing for easy transportation or can be crafted into various items using them.
• The Merchant has a 12.5% chance to drop Mining Shirt and Mining Pants.
• The Nurse has a 20% chance to drop a Life Crystal.
• The Demolitionist has a 50% chance to drop 5 Dynamite.
• The Dryad has a 33% chance to drop a Herb Bag.
• The Tavernkeep has a 50% chance to drop 4 Ale.
• The Arms Dealer has a 25% chance to drop 30 Nano Bullets.
• The Clothier has a 5% chance to drop a Skull.
• The Mechanic has a 20% chance to drop 40 Wires.
• The Wizard has a 20% chance to drop 5 Fallen Stars.
• The Tax Collector has a 12.5% chance to drop 10 Gold Coins.
• The Truffle has a 12.5% chance to drop a Mushroom Statue.
• The Princess has happiness quotes for Deviantt, Abominationn, Mutant, LumberJack, and Squirrel:
  • Mutant: <name of Mutant> has some amazing items, they're great for meeting new friends!
  • Abominationn: <name of Abominationn> tells great stories about his battles!
  • Deviantt: <name of Deviantt> is so fun, we could talk for hours!
  • LumberJack: <name of LumberJack> is so strong, I want to try chopping wood some time!
  • Squirrel: <name of Squirrel> is so adorable!

Items Sold

Some vanilla NPCs have new items sold under certain conditions with Extra Town NPC sales config enabled.
