Fargo's Souls Mod v1.3.96.6 served to rework Eternity Mode minion mechanics, buff various underused items, improve debuff quality of life, perform the usual polish and bugfixes, and add comedy.

Changes

Enchantment Accessories

  • Boreal Wood Enchantment nerfed, snowball damage caps at 20 to reduce excessive damage output when used with low-speed high-damage weapons such as Grenades
  • Gladiator Enchantment nerfed, higher damage per spear and spears pierce, but spears cannot hit the same enemy at once
  • Forbidden Enchantment fixed excessive lag caused by using Forbidden Storm
  • Turtle Enchantment fixed, previously could resist contact damage infinite times and only broke when hit by projectile. Now breaks on sufficient contact damage as intended

Other Accessories

  • Skull Charm reworked
    • No longer prevents mage/gunner skeletons from spawning outside Dungeon
    • Drops from Doctor Bones
    • Gives a weaker skull version of Lump of Flesh's minion
  • Wretched Pouch reworked
    • Damage and knockback buffed to match Shadowflame Hex Doll
    • Attacks nearby enemies automatically
    • Always shoots several tentacles directly at nearby enemy in addition to random spreads
  • Chalice of the Moon recipe changed, only requires 1 of each fragment (was 10)

Weapons

  • Big Brain Buster hit rate buffed
    • Modified how it attacks to look better visually
  • Devious Aestheticus projectile damage buffed
  • Omniscience Staff adjusted
    • Minions bounce off each other instead of stacking in one spot
    • Removed homing from flamethrower and laser
    • Retinazer has predictive aim to compensate

Eternity Mode Changes

General Changes

  • Old One's Army sentries buffed, nerfed speed nerf (-33%, was -50%)
  • Reworked the multiclass nerf:
    • Attacking using another class' weapon decreases minion damage over 5 seconds
    • Maximum minion damage nerf is -75%
    • Minion damage returns to full over 5 seconds of not attacking with another class
    • This means minions can still function to clear weak enemies while you build, idle in spawn, etc.
  • The following debuffs cannot be reapplied to you while you already have them (except by auras):
    • Berserked
    • Hexed
    • Lovestruck
    • Purified
    • Stunned
    • Cursed
    • Silenced
    • Frozen
    • Webbed
    • Stoned
    • Distorted
  • Chilled duration is capped at 15 seconds

Enemies

  • Internal rewrite for enemy auras
  • Goblin spiky balls despawn when they hit you
  • Nerfed Celestial Pillar damage reduction to 50% (was 66%), functionally a life nerf to 40,000 (was 60,000)

Bosses

  • Wall of FleshWall of Flesh
    • Made phase transitions louder
    • Increased hitbox of cursed flame wall to fix players sometimes running through it harmlessly
    • Fixed lighting on Hungry chains
  • The Twins The TwinsThe Twins
    • Nerfed phase 3 Spazmatism dash rate, flamethrower length, and number of dark star streams, but these increase as life decreases
  • The DestroyerThe Destroyer
    • Adjusted movement during light show
    • Various minor nerfs to light show and star walls
    • Fixed bug where stars shot in phase 1 weren't cleared going into phase 2
    • Fixed bug where bringing Destroyer below 10% life during a coil skipped most of its phase 3 damage reduction
    • Despawns faster
  • PlanteraPlantera
    • Fixed a multiplayer sync issue with crystal leaf rings
  • Duke FishronDuke Fishron
    • Phase 3 reworked
      • Increased life to 50% (was 33%)
      • Removed indestructible bubble trail, instead creates a spread of indestructible bubbles after teleporting
      • Attacks using spectral Fishrons after one dash
      • Leaves a trail of destructible bubbles during two dashes
      • Three dashes are much faster
    • Nerfed razorblades and spectral Fishrons, they share invulnerability timer with other attacks
    • Razorblades no longer inflict Defenseless
    • Fixed razorblades not inflicting Oceanic Maul
    • Adjusted razorblade visuals for better visibility
    • Definitely fixed Sharknados doing instant damage when they spawn on player
  • Moon LordMoon Lord
    • Fixed sun explosions hitbox becoming active at full size before sprite fully appeared
    • Minion damage is maximized when entering summoner phase to accommodate reworked multiclass nerf and prevent punishing for attacking during magic phase
    • Removed core damage resistance, but core has x2 life (net effect is a slight nerf since enemy defense is more significant with higher enemy DR)
  • Champion of SpiritChampion of Spirit
    • Shrank contact hitboxes slightly
    • Fixed glitch with spawn animation where Champion of Spirit could get stuck and refuse to start fighting
  • Eridanus, Champion of CosmosEridanus, Champion of Cosmos
    • Slightly nerfed nebula blaze attack by increasing spread and reducing fire rate
    • Fixed timestop glitch that allowed you to move by spamming certain mounts
    • Nerfed most phase 3 damage to 300 (was 343)
    • Nerfed phase 3 moon damage to 343 (was 400)
    • Drops 10 Lunar Crystals (was 5)
