Fargo's Souls Mod v1.3.96.3 served to make a wide variety of Eternity Mode balance changes and overall quality of life improvements.

Additions

Changes

Enchantment Accessories

  • Numerous "double tap down" effects now change binding properly if the game is set to use double tap up
  • Iron Enchantment minor bug fix, can't parry while in certain items' reuse delay
  • Fossil Enchantment adjusted
    • Nerfed revive immunity frames from 5 seconds to 3
    • Buffed revive to grant immunity on all timers
  • Jungle Enchantment buffed, gives a very minor dash
  • Frost Enchantment nerfed, Chilled no longer causes enemies to take x1.25 damage
  • Vortex Enchantment no longer works on projectiles immune to Gutted Heart, preventing it from destroying things like Eternity Mode boss arenas
  • Stardust Enchantment bug fix, spawns Stardust Guardian again
    • Enemies become immune to most damage at 1 life to reduce on-death-effect glitches like Champion of Timber spawning a hundred heads

Force Accessories

  • Updated all tooltips with Enchantment sprites and shortened several lines
  • Shadow Force allows Necro graves to float
  • Force of Life allows Growing Pumpkins to float

Soul Accessories

Other Accessories

  • Gutted Heart Creepers are named Gutted Creepers and disable damage when they destroy a projectile, reducing odds of splash damage hurting other Gutted Creepers or the player
  • Sparkling Adoration
    • Has a visible graze radius with toggle
    • Reduced visual effects when grazing projectiles to be less distracting
    • Nerfed by Mutant Presence, graze radius is halved
  • Tribal Charm toggle ignores Mutant Presence
  • Celestial Rune nerfed, Ancient Visions share immunity frames and can't all stack on one opponent
  • Chalice of the Moon buffed, Cultist minion attacks use their respective class (they bypass Eternity Mode minion nerf and can hurt Moon Lord) and always uses the right attack during Moon Lord fight
  • Abominable Wand
    • Synergizes with new Styx armor, allows Sparkling Adoration graze to build Styx meter
    • Revive causes a powerful burst of homing scythes
    • Revive no longer allows Rod of Discord spam
  • Mutant Eye bomb spread adjusted and fixed spawning 100 unnecessary projectiles

Weapons

  • The Rockslide nerfed
    • Gib explosions no longer ignore enemy invulnerability frames, drastically reducing damage
    • Damage increased to compensate for above (88, was 70)
  • Slime Slinging Slasher has increased spread
  • The Regurgitator buffed
    • Damage increased (300, was 275)
    • Hungry has better homing
    • Reduced delay on spawning a new Hungry after firing one
    • Nerfed damage of Hungries that aren't fully charged
  • Gemini Glaives create more stars, mainly a visual adjustment (doesn't significantly impact damage). Removed Optic Staff from the recipe.
  • The Blender rebalanced and reworked
    • Only the main yoyo can spawn secondary projs, no longer the orbitals too
    • Orbitals pulsate in and out but do half damage
  • Nuke Fishron visual intensity reduced
  • Dragon's Demise homing adjusted, mainly a visual adjustment
  • The Landslide damage nerfed but homing consistency improved
  • Omniscience Staff needs 3 slots per use (was 4)
  • Staff of Unleashed Ocean needs 2 slots per use (was 3) and reduced intensity of visuals
  • Slime Rain damage nerfed slightly
  • Styx Gazer right click beam sword can only hit up to 15 times per swing

Eternity Mode Changes

General Changes

  • Sky Fracture marginally buffed (-20%, was -25%)
  • Laser Machinegun nerfed (-33%, was 25%)
  • Flairon nerfed -15%
  • Disables Blood Moon in early game
  • Berserked grants +10% damage, movement speed, attack speed
  • Living Wasteland can debuff all NPCs including hostile ones
  • Rotting stat debuffs adjusted, no longer stacks with Living Wasteland, more visible when applied
  • Lovestruck causes attacks on applicable enemies to spew hearts from the player that heal the enemy instead of instant healing
  • Hexed has visual effects on player when applied
  • Purified has visual effects on player when applied
  • Rod of Discord during bosses no longer costs max life, still costs life
  • Further reduced natural boss spawn rates

Enemies

  • Changed Cursed, Frozen, Stoned, Stunned, etc. anti-stacking implementation, player cannot receive those debuffs from most sources until a few seconds after it wears off
  • Rune Wizard projectiles have a sprite
  • Moth dust has a sprite
  • Clown no longer makes message on spawn, fixed how it dies, now drops fewer explosives when killed and more when left to explode on its own

    • Can't inflict Stunned
    • Spike rain starts closer to the ground but less starting speed (net nerf, more visible)
    • Removed enrage
  • Eye of CthulhuEye of Cthulhu
    • Updated gores
    • Emits light when teleporting, making it more clear that it is teleporting
  • SkeletronSkeletron
    • Tried fixing switching target away from reticle locked-on player in multiplayer
  • Deviantt (boss)Deviantt (boss)
    • Adjusted loot
    • Added telegraph for how Sparkling Love lasers fire
    • Removed x1.25 damage taken from melee and minion attacks
    • Rune Wizard projectiles have a sprite

    • Tries to avoid contact damage when flying up for heart rain attack
    • Can be bribed after defeat

    • Nerfed divine ray, no longer inflicts Flipped

    • Spazmatism shoots a wheel of Dark Stars when supporting Retinazer deathray instead of cursed flamethrower
    • Spazmatism no longer has +10% speed below 50%
    • Retinazer shoots Dark Stars instead of lasers below 50%
    • Twins have a message when they endure at 1 life
    • Twins no longer spray rings of Dark Stars at 1 life
  • Skeletron PrimeSkeletron Prime
    • Tried fixing switching target away from reticle locked-on player in multiplayer
    • Added additional tells for which limbs are attacking in phase 2
  • PlanteraPlantera
    • Crystal Leaf shots no longer predictive aim, instead is a spread shot
  • GolemGolem
    • Nerfed fists to have minimum 1.5 second delay between punches, can no longer machine gun punch when next to a wall
    • Fixed fists enraging and exploding because they clipped through blocks and left temple despite player remaining inside
    • Fists and head track the body better, no longer lag behind
  • Duke FishronDuke Fishron
    • Adjusted visuals on Spectral Fishrons, don't display trails until they can deal damage
  • BetsyBetsy
    • Improved indicator for Electrosphere radius
    • Electrospheres ignore Gutted Creepers, making the attack more consistent
  • Lunatic CultistLunatic Cultist
    • Nerfed life to 60,000 (was 80,000)
    • Adjusted lighting during ritual
    • Nerfed phase 2 frost waves, now start from further out and progressively move in, gives more reaction time
    • Phase 2 support vortexes nerfed, track player better (less overshooting and dropping lightning ahead of player), fire in succession more rapidly (lightning bolt total effective hitbox presence time reduced)
    • Nebula spheres start slow and then speed up instead of other way around
    • Ancient Light stop-and-go
    • Ancient Doom nerfed by increasing size and therefore visibility
    • Pillar creates brief warning lines before fragments burst out
  • Moon LordMoon Lord
    • Nerfed phase 2 sun attack, moves slower
  • Eridanus, Champion of CosmosEridanus, Champion of Cosmos
    • Changed contact debuffs from On Fire/Hexed to Burning/Berserked
    • Vortex indicates lightning starting angles
    • Adjusted Phantasmal Sphere cage timing
    • Has a timing tell on straight punch
    • Shoots more Nebula Blazes in phase two to cover running away at high speed
    • Reduced dust on Nebula Blazes to improve lag
    • Nerfed phase 3 Nebula Blaze speed
    • Fixed moons reattaching to Eridanus if you killed him and spawned him again before his moons hit the ground
    • Adjusted timestop music stop implementation to hopefully reduce bugs

    • Adjusted loot
    • Nerfed life to 1,200,000 (was 1,300,000)
    • Removed Unstable and Confused from debuffs it can apply
    • Arena rotation slows down to denote when arena is stationary
    • Significantly increased visibility of base death scythe attack
    • Base sickles no longer have a line indicating their path, instead they stop-and-go
    • Flaming scythes speed nerfed, boss moves slower during it, and visual indicators for how the scythes spawn
    • Significantly increased delay between new flaming scythes and dash, has new timing tell for exactly when dash begins
    • Frost shard rain has clear lines denoting safespot
    • Recursive sickle attack has lines denoting how they spread out
    • Improved visibility of rockets and added an additional telegraph when laser attack begins
    • Has additional telegraphs on Styx Gazers
    • Buffed scythe wheel, now has two lines that rotate in four segments but drastically nerfed rotation speed
  • Mutant (boss)Mutant (boss)
    • Adjusted loot
    • Buffed life to 7,700,000 again (was 7,000,000)
    • Health bar colours adjusted
    • Despawns during a Swarm
    • Arena rotation slows down to denote when arena is stationary
    • Mutant Presence allows slightly higher life regen, but disables Shiny Stone
    • Phase one Penetrator throw is predictive but attacks much slower
    • Will despawn in between dashes as intended if player dies
    • Replaced sickle split attack with an Eye of Cthulhu attack
    • Nerfed True Eye deathray, starts at further offset from target (takes longer to sweep over target's starting position and covers less effective area)
    • Phantasmal Eye streams change direction depending on which side you start on
    • Pillar toss starts with bottom two Mutants and adjusted their movement after they throw, net effect is generally improved visibility of pillars
    • Pillar fragments sync up with next attack, have less dust, adjusted spread to not have a gap at the point of impact
    • Improved telegraph when preparing to spear dash
    • Telegraph for spear attacks help indicate whether the attack will be predictive
    • Destroyer behaviour adjusted, they no longer stack on top of each other as much and slightly increased hitbox of head (still doesn't cover entire sprite)
    • Retinazer deathray fan is more telegraphed
    • Prime rain during ray fan positioning and visuals adjusted to better convey the area they cover
    • Adjusted visuals on Spectral Fishrons, don't display trails until they can deal damage
    • Spectral Fishrons buffed, more of them and they attack in rapid succession (previously all at once)
    • Adjusted nuke visuals and improved hitbox consistency to always damage player if they leave safespot
    • Marginal Slime Rain wave startup increase
    • Crystals spin up as they prepare to fly
    • Glaives attack timing subtly polished and the paths of glaives are made visible
    • Adjusted timing of phase 2 transition to better align with music
    • Adjusted delay between many attacks
    • Grants healing when entering phase 3, reduced damage of phase 3, reduced rotation speed of final ray
    • Randomized phase 2
