Champion of Earth is a post-Moon Lord miniboss.

Summoning

Champion of Earth does not spawn on its own and must be summoned by the player by using the Sigil of Champions while in the Underworld. When spawned, an animation will play where pillars of flame from above and below will converge and collide in a fiery explosion, spawning the Champion of Earth from the blast.

Attacks

Champion of Earth’s attacks are all based on the Force of Earth’s enchantments.

Expert Mode

Only gains boosted stats.

Eternity Mode

Its phase 2 attacks are stronger.

First phase

The Champion of Earth consists of a vulnerable head and two invincible hands that it uses to attack. The hands cannot be damaged, but will block all projectiles that collide with them. The hands will only deal contact damage when in a clenched position.

Champion of Earth always tries to remain above the player and follows a set pattern, repeating after completing the final attack:

• Uses its fists to punch the player four times.
• Vertically waves its hands next to the player with varying speed while shooting out accelerating orichalcum petals from them.
• Puts its fists together, then slams them into the ground three times, causing fire geysers to erupt from solid blocks around the impact site with each slam. The geysers are telegraphed by small jets of flame.
• Shoots out 3-shot spreads of bouncing fireballs from its mouth while blocking the player's sides with pillars of flame from its hands.
• Horizontally waves its hands over its own head, shooting out large, accelerating crystal clumps from them.

Champion of Earth goes into phase 2 after reaching 50% health.

Second phase

At the start of this phase, Champion of Earth crosses its hands, then regains all its lost health back in a fiery explosion before continuing the fight.

Champion’s 1st phase attacks are improved as follows:

• The fists move faster when punching.
  • Eternity: Each punch creates chain reaction explosions in the direction of the punch.
• The orichalcum petals are fired more rapidly.
  • Eternity: Increased petal velocity, and the projectiles split after travelling far enough.
• The fist slams occur faster.
  • Eternity: Fists no longer summon flame geysers, but instead create life orbs that home onto the player after flying a short distance.
• The flame pillars produced by the hands are significantly closer together, further limiting the player's space.
• The crystal clumps are fired more rapidly.

• The music that plays during Champion of Earth's battle is Ordeal by Sakuzyo.
  • Its old theme was Full Force by Universe.
  • If the Fargo's Music Mod add-on is disabled, Boss 1 (Otherworldly) will play instead. It shares this trait with the rest of the Champions, apart from Eridanus.
• If the Boss Checklist Mod is installed, its unique despawn message will be "Champion of Earth disappears below the magma..."
• The Bestiary entry for the Champion of Earth: "Merging with a Force has given it a power high. This Champion erupts from the magma and rampages through all who cross its path."
