The Hive Staff is a pre-hardmode sentry summon weapon. It summons a hive which bursts into several homing bees every 2 seconds.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Hive Staff has over a Ruthless one is knockback.

- The Hive Staff was originally replaced with The Small Sting.
- It was also previously obtained from the Queen Bee at a 10% drop chance.
