The Overgrown Key is a Hardmode summon weapon dropped from Jungle Mimics. It summons Jungle Mimics that require 2 minion slots each. The Jungle Mimics attempt to stick onto enemies on the ground while constantly shooting high-velocity coins. If their target is out of reach, they can temporarily fly to damage it.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Overgrown Key has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
