Only a specific type of weapon will work against each specific pillar. As for that moon guy, his weakness will keep changing.

Eternity Mode Nebula Pillar is a Hardmode boss. It is a more powerful version of Nebula Pillar with more attacks and new behavior.

Behaviour

Nebula Pillar will inflict Reverse Mana Flow inside of any of the other pillars' auras.

The Nebula Pillar will remain immune until its shield goes down.

After its shield has been destroyed enemies will stop spawning and the Pillar itself will begin alternating between using a Nebula Shot and one of its other 3 attacks:

  • Nebula Shot
The pillar summons 2 sets of 5 Nebula Blaze to surround the player, homing for a brief period when spawned and disappearing after a short time.
  • Mirage Deathray
Summons 4 transparent clones surrounding the player which spins around the player until all but one disappears, the remaining one shoots a Nebula Deathray.
  • Arcanum Portal
The Pillar opens a Arcanum Portal that shoots Nebula Blaze shots above itself then explode into a wave of shots.
  • <3
The Pillar will teleport next to the player, then 2 diagonal lines appear, one slowly rotating down after when its diagonal to the pillar it will shoot a wave of curving Nebula Blazes.

Masochist Mode

  • Mirage is revealed faster and slightly tracks towards the player before shooting the Deathray.
