The Necro Enchantment is a craftable Pre-Hardmode accessory that is themed after Necro armor. When equipped, killing an enemy causes a pile of bones to drop from it, which slowly falls. If the player touches the pile, a friendly Dungeon Guardian will spawn. Dungeon Guardians quickly home in on enemies, dealing damage equal to 33% of the killed enemy's max health. Bosses drop bone piles every time they lose 10% of their total health, and Dungeon Guardians spawned from boss bone piles deal 4% of the boss's max health in damage.

Equipping it alongside the Wizard Enchantment will increase the size of bone piles, make them stay airborne and move toward the player..

  • While the Necro Enchantment has a rarity of 3, it does not use the standard orange color for its item name. Instead, it uses a custom rarity color of #565642 ●.
  • Fargo's Mutant Mod and its changes to vanilla makes this enchantment much easier to craft, as it allows the the Painter to sell The Guardian's Gaze whilst he is in the Dungeon (only in the Underground layer).

  • The symbol on the Necro Enchantment resembles the Necro Helmet.

  • 1.6.6: Bone piles now move towards the player and have increased size if Force effect is present.
  • 1.4.0.7: Sprite updated.
  • 1.4:
    • Reworked, gained the bone glove effect.
    • Cooldown on grave spawning is removed.
    • Graves can be spawned by melee hits and will always spawn from bosses.
    • Boss graves damage increased from 2.5% HP to 4% HP, enemy grave damage increased from 25% to 33%.
    • Guardian homing improved.
  • 1.3.9: Reworked:
    • Killing enemies makes them drop a bone pile, touch the pile to spawn a friendly baby guardian that will attack enemies.
