Fargo's Souls Mod v1.4 is Fargo's Souls Mod on Terraria 1.4.

Additions

Changes

Enchantment Accessories

  • Updated Enchantment recipes overall to include many 1.4 items
  • Angler Enchantment now grants lava fishing
  • Wood Enchantment reworked. Doubles bestiary completion rate, gives a shop discount that scales with bestiary completion (0.5% discount per 1% bestiary)
  • Cactus Enchantment reworked. Removed thorns effect, you now spray much shorter ranged needles from yourself while attacking, enemies no longer explode into needles unless you hit them with your needles, needles spray out a bit more randomly, needles now have kill dust, needles are no longer affected by gravity
  • Pumpkin Enchantment pumpkins now only flash when fully grown.
  • Rich Mahogany Enchantment buffed, hook shoot speed increase no longer Force upgrade exclusive, retract speed increased from 1.5x to 3x faster, while grappling you gain 10 defense
  • Ebonwood Enchantment Fixed bug that made aura stop working when you hug a wall.
  • Shadewood Enchantment buffed. Bleed will now last a few seconds after enemies leave range, Blood damage now scales with highest damage type, sword/spear hits will always trigger regardless of normal cooldown, blood drops now have seperate immune frames, so they can actually hit. Fixed bug that made aura stop working when you hug a wall.
  • Snow Enchantment reworked, now slows all projectiles and enemies on a cooldown
  • Rain Enchantment reworked, added Inner Tube effect, moved to pre hard mode, cloud now follows your cursor, no longer absorbs projectiles, occasionally shoots lightning downward
  • Copper Enchantment reworked. Lightning is now actual chain lightning. Reduced debuff duration, reduced damage as it pierces more enemies, cannot propagate through walls
  • Tin Enchantment adjusted. "Buffers" crits - if you crit during the cooldown, you will receive the crit rate up for that crit on the next hit after the cooldown is over anyway. Nerfed default cooldown from 0.5 to 1.0 seconds, nerfed Force cooldown from 0.33 seconds to 0.5 seconds. Added pop up text when you gain or lose crit. Now always has at least 15% crit cap even with no other crit chance boosts.
  • Iron Enchantment nerfed, increased parry cooldown and no longer gives Striking Moment
  • Lead Enchantment adjusted, all attacks apply Lead Poisoning instead of 20% chance, increased dot damage, enemies with lead poisoning can no longer spread it to themselves
  • Tungsten Enchantment adjusted. Halves melee speed. Always enlarges spears, yoyos, whips, Arkhalis, shortswords, etc. Enlarged projectiles will also spawn enlarged projectiles. Minions can shoot enlarged projectiles.
  • Silver Enchantment buffed, gives 20 armor penetration to accelerated minions, increases with Force/Soul
  • Gold Enchantment buffed, automatically sends coins you collect to your Piggy Bank
  • Fossil Enchantment buffed now revives you with 50 HP instead of 1, Spirit Force will do 200, increased bone heals from 15 to 20, increased max bones spawned on hit from 3 to 5
  • Gladiator Enchantment buffed, reduced number of spears that fall from 10 to 4, reduced damage from 50% hit damage to 25%, reduced to 1/2 second, removed iframes so multiple spears can hit the same enemy, reduced horizontal spread of spears
  • Ninja Enchantment buffed, after teleporting you are now stealthed, you no longer need Smoke Bombs in your inventory to use the ability, your bonus attack additionally reduces the foes defense by 10 for a few seconds
  • Ancient Cobalt Enchantment reworked. Now grants an explosion jump
  • Crimson Enchantment adjusted. Now increases normal life regen instead of healing you separate from normal regen. No longer add back healed damage when hit before completing the heal. Instead the heal just ends early and you don't get a new heal until you get hit again. Heals now always last 5 seconds. Heals will no longer start at all for damage less than 10
  • Bee Enchantment nerfed, no longer works on projectiles with local or static iframes
  • Necro Enchantment buffed. Gained the Bone Glove effect, removed cooldown on graves spawning, graves can now be spawned be melee attacks on bosses, graves from bosses will always spawn, no matter how many graves already exist, boss graves damage increased from 2.5% HP to 4% HP, enemy grave damage increased from 25% to 33%, guardians home better
  • Molten Enchantment reworked. Now increases all damage done inside the inferno ring by 25%
  • Pearlwood Enchantment buffed. Now procs on melee hits, updated star projectiles, and now homes.
  • Cobalt Enchantment reworked. Grants a bigger more deadly explosion jump (which also affects vertical wing acceleration), also grants explosion on hit
  • Mythril Enchantment reworked, now gives a burst of extremely high attack speed after not attacking for a while
  • Adamantite Enchantment reworked, now always splits your projectiles into 2 instead of sometimes 3. This only works on weapon-fired or minion-fired projectiles now. Halves damage per hit and halves iframes
  • Titanium Enchantment reworked to the new set bonus
  • Spider Enchantment nerfed, summon damage crits for less damage than other classes
  • Hallowed Enchantment reworked to shadow dodge
  • Huntress Enchantment reworked. Hitting consecutive attacks without missing stacks bonus damage.
  • Red Riding Enchantment reworked. Inherits Huntress, when you reach max stacks, spawns a rain of arrows over the last hit enemy, default arrow changed to venom
  • Spectre Enchantment nerfed, has a brief cooldown on spawning spectres
  • Beetle Enchantment reworked, no longer gives more flight time. Gives Beetle Scale Mail set bonus by default, switches to Beetle Shell when hit. Capped at 2 beetles for both
  • Stardust Enchantment timestop visuals improved, you are immune to timestop while using your own timestop, but removed Stardust Guardian knife throw attack

Soul Accessories

  • Updated soul recipes and effects overall to include many 1.4 items
  • World Shaper Soul Builder Mode no longer gives increased wall reach, this fixes the intense lag it caused
  • Supersonic Soul buffed. Increased traction of No Momentum even more, works in mid-air. Fixed some bugs with its run speed
  • Flight Mastery Soul buffed. Recipe includes Soaring Insignia and inherits its effects. Buffed wing stats. Now has amplified gravity, significantly improving agility and vertical turnaround
  • Fixed Soul of the Universe extremely long-standing oversight, gives more knockback and shot speed as intended
  • Renamed Soul of the Siblings to Soul of the Master. Fixed it not having passive Bionomic Cluster effects

Other Accessories

  • Tim's Concoction buffed, added new potions to loot table
  • Agitating Lens uses static iframe instead of local, buffed damage slightly to compensate. Buffed, also grants +10% move speed and attack speed when below 50% life
  • Gutted Heart nerfed. Base life reduced from 40 to 30
  • Corrupt Heart renamed to Darkened Heart and buffed, gives increased traction when turning or stopping
  • Supreme Deathbringer Fairy nerfed, inflicts Poisoned instead of Venom and has same damage buff health requirement as Agitating Lens
  • Sparkling Adoration heart homing adjusted so it won't orbit enemies
  • Pure Heart nerfed. Life boost reduced from 20% to 10%
  • Fixed Mystic Skull actually doing nothing when equipped
  • Wretched Pouch buffed, improved consistency hitting enemies at max range
  • Security Wallet reworked. Instead of cheaper reforges, prevents you from getting bad or mediocre reforges
  • Frigid Gemstone Frostburn duration nerfed from 4 seconds to 2
  • Concentrated Rainbow Matter Flames of the Universe duration nerfed from 3 seconds to 2
  • Bionomic Cluster buffed, passively grants Guilty immunity
  • Aeolus Boots moved to post-mechs and recipe updated, now inherits from Terraspark Boots and others
  • Lump of Flesh incorporates Dread Shell, gives +15% all damage instead of +16% summon damage. Nerfed to give -10% damage reduction instead of defense down, +1 minion/sentry slot instead of +2
  • Ice Queen's Crown buffed. Super Flocko base damage increased from 40 to 45
  • Lihzahrd Treasure Box damage nerfed but now scales with melee damage as intended. Fastfall is now triggered with a downwards dash input, this allows you to fall through platforms normally while using it
  • Saucer Control Console buffed. Ray is a tractor beam that pierces tiles to reach cursor and slows enemies on hit
  • Fixed Celestial Rune not producing Ancient Visions when hurt
  • Renamed Heart of the Eternal to Heart of the Master
  • Abominable Wand buffed, no longer disables healing for any time at all, reduced DOT protection time from 10 seconds to 5

Weapons

  • The Lightning Rod adjusted
    • Rebounds immediately on hitting a wall and cannot hit enemies through walls
    • Reduced amount of lightning spawned
    • Lightning cannot pass through tiles indefinitely
    • Reduced depreciation on hit from x0.85 to x0.933 (can hit much more enemies before losing damage)
  • Flesh Hand homing buffed
  • The Twinrangs nerfed, they are now blocked properly by tiles, reduced cursed flames to 2 pierce
  • Top Hat Squirrel (weapon) visuals adjusted
  • Fixed Mechanical Leash of Cthulhu never actually using its use speed stat
  • Miss Drakovi's Fishing Pole throwing mode removed, halved minion but it uses local iframes (net buff)
  • Big Brain Buster buffed, damage from 222 to 260, caps at 11 minion slots, fixed it eating slots for no benefit after capping out, and buffed hit rate from 7.5/second to 10/second
  • Gemini Glaives buffed, alternating damage increased from x1.2 to x1.5,
  • The Blender has improved visuals, no longer uses regular static iframes
  • Nuke Fishron nuke duration increased, should time out and explode before hitting target much less often
  • Dragon's Demise visuals improved
  • The Landslide reworked, now charges up its attack, does more damage the longer it is charged
  • Staff of Unleashed Ocean buffed, less base damage but minions use local iframes
  • Omniscience Staff removed
  • The Penetrator giant ray no longer reduces your move speed

  • Toggles save on a per-player basis!
  • Inventory toggles button flashes until clicked
  • General multiplayer sync improvements
  • Tremendous amount of internal refactors
  • Fixed all animated items not animating when held in hand
  • Fixed various invincible enemies being able to take dropped money
  • Anti-dodge effects disable Brain of Confusion, Turtle Enchantment shell, and Squeaky Toy
  • Sibling bosses do not deal contact damage to sibling town NPCs
  • Magic Missile and similar weapons, if stacked, will despawn after 15 seconds (will not happen if you only have one instance of the projectile active)
  • Updated localization files

Eternity Mode Changes

General Changes

  • All Master drops will also drop in Eternity Mode
  • Removed random boss spawns
  • Improved Mutant Statue world generation
  • Added an icon in inventory to indicate Eternity Mode is active
  • Added a new mechanic, most debuffs will wear off faster when not attacking
  • Gives +100 base mana, but reduces your attack speed with Mana Sickness
  • Reduced increased spawn rates
  • Increases spawn rate of Bound Goblin, Bound Wizard, Webbed Stylist
  • Torch God is buffed. Lingering flame projectiles are also spawned in addition to the normal projectiles.
  • Beehives break shortly after hitting the ground, roll less
  • Removed almost all previous weapon nerfs (other item nerfs may still exist)
  • New nerfs:
    • Frozen Turtle Shell reduces damage when active instead of giving less damage reduction
    • Brain of Confusion temporarily reduces damage by 30% on dodge
    • Holy Price is -30% attack speed for 10 seconds, was -33% damage for 15 seconds
    • Zapinators cannot stack damage multipliers to deal x1000 their original damage or whatever
    • Whips cannot stack buffs
    • Halved all whip damage except Leather Whip
    • All minions have depreciating damage as you summon more copies of them, excluding certain minions like Stardust Dragon, Storm Tiger, etc.

Debuffs

  • Added Smite

  • Hallow underground Flipped
    • Begins further underground
    • Will not affect player in front of "safe" walls or while falling down a hellevator
  • Antisocial is now x0.1 summon damage, was -50%
  • Oceanic Maul is -10 defense and DR, was -15
    • Nerfed sources to inflict it for 20 seconds at most overall, previously could range over 1 minute
    • Reworked life reduction, max life now gradually decreases and then recovers over time
    • You spew blood visually with reduced max life
  • Dazed and Stunned have visual and sound effects
  • Fixed Purified not removing unlimited buffs properly, no longer removes true persistent buffs e.g. Campfire, no longer removes minions
  • Halved damage over time of Flames of the Universe for player and enemy alike
  • Lihzahrd Curse passively applies around the Temple, not just inside it. Blocks actuators and wrenches
  • Recovering renamed to Rush Job, never wears off until boss fight ends

Enemies

  • Made new spawn rates generally stricter about spawning different enemies during events
  • Updated crate drops overall, hardmode enemies/bosses drop hardmode crates
  • Updated biome debuff immunities for new enemies
  • Gnomes spawn in hordes
  • Mushroom enemies nerfed, chance not to spawn something on kill, spores can be destroyed slightly earlier, spore count is capped and mushroom enemies will instead spawn Spore Bats on kill if too many spores are alive already
  • Bloody enemies can inflict Anticoagulation
  • Night
    • Reduced Probe swarm spawn rate
    • Wraiths have a different aura colour to make them easier to see, this mitigates their increased agility
  • Cavern
    • Removed Star Cloak from Mimic's early bird drops
    • Reduced spawn rate of Fire Imp and Lava Slime
    • Added Rock Golem ability to super jump
    • Beetle auras no longer render inside blocks, to make them less intimidating to new players
    • Medusa inflicts Unstable for a second attempt at fall damage death
    • Undead Miner throws bombs and has increased spawn rate when you wear Mining Helmet
    • Tim life reduced from x4 to x2 but spawns with a squad of lootless Dark Casters, Silenced aura is now Withered Weapon
    • Skeleton Archer Venom duration reduced to 6 seconds
    • Post-Plantera Dungeon mage skeletons no longer spawn anywhere
  • Corruption
    • Corruptor can breathe cursed flame at close range
  • Crimson
    • Nerfed Face Monster aura from Obstructed to Blackout
    • Blood Feeder can feed on enemies
    • Herpling has same changes as Derpling
  • The Hallow
    • Pixies can rarely drop Prismatic Lacewing
  • Jungle
    • Snatchers and friends no longer instakill by eating, instead they latch on and must be mashed out. Damage and hit rate reduced to compensate. Can rarely drop Plantera's Fruit
    • Flying Snake has more health and enrages at 50% instead of having a second life
    • Increased Hornet aggression when Swarming, no longer counterintuitively drift away through blocks as much
    • Bees can no longer be replaced with Hornets due to Bees now attacking and killing Hornets
    • Post-Plantera Dungeon mage skeletons can spawn in Temple
    • Increased Jungle Mimic spawn rate in Temple
    • Giant Tortoise yeets you
  • Desert
    • Antlion Chargers inflict Slow and can drop Fast Clock
    • Sand Elemental extra sandnado replaced with bone fall, no longer spawns worms. Drops Mirage Crate
    • Hardmode desert enemies have a 1% chance overall to drop Flying Carpet
    • Fixed Dune Splicer being less agressive than intended
    • Sand Poacher Venom duration reduced to 6 seconds
  • Snow
    • Nerfed Ice Golem base frostfireball fire rate but does larger ring bursts, Ice Golem is less likely to spawn near town NPCs
    • Pigrons leave Cthulunados on death, inflict Oceanic Maul
    • Ice Tortoise yeets you
    • Armored Viking attack radius nerfed and they need line of sight to shoot
    • Reduced Present Mimic spawn rate
  • Ocean
    • Crabs rapidly spray bubbles at close range
    • Sharks nerfed, spawn Sharknado instead of Cthulhunado and only if enough vertical space (will not jump into your NPC housing and then spawn a Sharknado that kills all your town NPCs), inflicts Oceanic Maul
  • The Dungeon
    • Angry and Armored Bones only spray bones on death, was on hit
  • Space
    • Wyvern life reduced from x2.0 to x1.5 and horde chance reduced
  • The Underworld
    • Fire Imps spawn in hordes
    • Bone Serpent shoots a barrage of multiple fireballs, was just one
    • Red Devil buffed, shoots Demon's sickle sprays
    • Voodoo Demon can now self-immolate without needing line of sight with the player, provided it is within a reasonable distance. Takes less damage over time when on fire
  • Blood Moon
    • Updated Clown fuse timer explosion
    • Chattering Teeth Bomb inflicts Fused
    • Wandering Eye Fish spawns with a horde of Demon Eyes and has a sickle trail. Drops Balloon Pufferfish and Frog Leg
    • Zombie Merman spawns with a horde of Zombies and can super jump, landing with an impact of blood spikes. Drops Balloon Pufferfish and Frog Leg
    • Hemogoblin Shark attacks using Blood Thorn
    • Blood Nautilus
      • Creates Blood Thorn missiles while dashing
      • Dash is completely inescapable
      • Blood Thorns burst out under you when spawning squids
      • Halved Blood Squid projectile damage
      • Despawns faster
      • Can devour nearby enemies to recover life and drink their blood
      • Goes into a frenzy after drinking blood
      • Removed contact damage during spin
      • Bloody tears can go through walls or erupt into pillars of boiling blood
  • Goblin Invasion
    • Fixed goblins sinking into the ground when you die
    • Nerfed in early game, all Goblins besides peons have a cap on their numbers
    • Chaos Ball nerfed, moves faster in hardmode instead of invincible
    • Goblin Summoner Chaos Ball aura replaced with creating shadowflame portals, tentacles on hit replaced with dropping spiky balls on hit
  • Frost Legion
    • Snowman Gangsta nerfed, can only shoot horizontally
  • Solar Eclipse
    • Replaced Nailhead perpetual spray with a periodic denser spray
    • Mothron Egg no longer instantly hatches but has x3 life
    • Removed all old Mothron changes. Now has much more aggressive AI, more defense during egg lays, and wields Zenith
  • Pumpkin Moon
    • Headless Horseman has a maximum throw range
  • Frost Moon
    • Yeti frostfireballs replaced with jumping at you
    • Krampus can jump at you
    • Flocko explodes into icicles on kill
    • Nerfed Elf Archer arrow speed
  • Martian Madness
    • Martian enemies are immune to Electrified, Confused, and Suffocation
    • Added Martian Saucer laser barrage attack
    • Brain Scrambler has confused aura
  • Lunar Events
    • Removed Vortex Pillar's lightning orb attack
    • Nebula Pillar teleport rate reduced, replaced attack with gravity distortion fields
    • Storm Diver stops and shoots a rapid barrage of Luminite Bullets
    • Nebula Floater cannot shoot while spamming teleports

    • Fixed an edge case that sometimes caused it to spray sickles every tick during phase transitions

    • Removed cursed flame breath
    • Nerfed head damage reduction to 50%
    • The segment immediately behind head loses its damage reduction if the next segment is a tail, this fixes Eaters becoming obscenely tanky after being reduced to minimum size
    • Increased delay between cursed fireballs and will always shoot a minimum number of fireballs

    • Removed contact damage from hive toss
    • Nerfed stinger rate while Royal Subjects are alive
    • Removed gravity from new stingers
    • Can despawn
