Champion of Terra is a post-Moon Lord miniboss.

Summoning

Champion of Terra does not spawn on its own and must be summoned by the player by using the Sigil of Champions while in the Underground layer.

Attacks

Champion of Terra’s attacks are all loosely based on the Terra Force’s enchantments.

Expert Mode

Only gains boosted stats.

Eternity Mode

Gains a second phase when it reaches 10% health.

First phase

The Champion of Terra is generally always trying to ram into the player, but it also follows a set pattern of attacks, teleporting for each of them, then repeating after completing the final attack. Before each attack, the Champion will coil up and generate a contracting orange ring to signify when the next attack will begin.

• Launches directly towards the player’s current location, shooting two sweeping streams of fireballs from its head. The streams initially point in the direction of its movement before sweeping to their respective sides until they're facing roughly backwards.
• Charges the player in a zig-zagging motion, creating an explosion of lightning and fireballs at the peak of each turn. The fireballs have a weak homing property.
• Does a huge U-turn around the player, shooting a stream of fireballs towards the center of the turn.
• Circles the player, trapping them inside, then shoots out a homing electric orb that gradually grows in size before exploding into a ring of lightning bolts. The trajectories of the lightning bolts will be telegraphed by translucent warning beams.

The Champion of Terra's head is its weak point, as all of its other segments take negligible damage.

Champion of Terra goes into phase 2 after reaching 10% health in Eternity Mode.

Second phase

Champion of Terra loses all its segments, which each turn into electro balls that linger for the rest of the fight. Its head grows much bigger and moves around faster, but more sloppily. It will try to ram players, periodically fire lightning bolts, and occasionally shoot the same electro ball it used in its circling attack, except the warning lasers now spin rapidly around the electric orb, slowing down right before it's about to explode.

Trivia

• The music that plays during Champion of Terra's battle is Ordeal by Sakuzyo.
  • Its old theme was Full Force by Universe.
  • If the Fargo's Music Mod add-on is disabled, Boss 1 (Otherworldly) will play instead. It shares this trait with the rest of the Champions, apart from Eridanus.
• If the Boss Checklist Mod is installed, its unique despawn message will be "Champion of Terra vanishes into the caverns..."
• The 怪物图鉴 entry for the Champion of Terra: "Only the brain of this colossal serpent is still organic. Transformed into enchanted rock and metal, its body is impervious to attack."
