Eternity Mode Empress of Light is a Hardmode boss which is a more powerful version of the Empress of Light with more attacks and new behavior. She can be summoned by killing a Prismatic Lacewing or by using a Prismatic Primrose

Behavior

she passively inflicts the unique debuff Purged which disables ways to avoid damage.

if fought at daytime all of her attacks will instantly kill the player.

Phase 1

• Prismatic bolt (central)

Fires homing prismatic bolts above herself.

• Prismatic bolt (out)

Fires a barrage of homing prismatic bolts then dash towards the player, the bolts will not do damage until they start homing.

• Ethereal lance

Summons a swarm of ethereal lances near the player that will be shot out after a delay.

• Everlasting rainbow

Releases 3 rings of 12 stars that move clockwise, then spiral back inward in the same direction. These stars leave behind a trail of light that will damage the player.

• Dash

Teleports to the side of the player then dashes towards the player with a ray of light behind her, the dash will create ethereal lances that get shot out shortly.

• Growing sun Dance

Hovers above the player and emits 6 rays of light which will start growing while rotating, 3 sets of rays will be shot before the attack ends

• Sun dance

Hovers above the player and emits 6 rays of light which will start rotating, Ethereal lances will be shot outwards while the attack goes on

Phase 2

When the Empress of Light is below half of her max health, she will disappear for a second then reappear above the location of the player, in the second phase she obtains new attacks and harder versions of phase 1 attacks, only changed attacks will be listed.

• Prismatic bolt (central)

Bolts will appear around her instead of just above.

• Alternate Ethereal Lance

Ethereal lances will shoot out towards the player's current position.

• Angled Lance walls

Sets of ethereal lances will appear converging towards the player, after appearing they will move closer to the player. she will shoot 6 sets of lances.

• Alternate prismatic bolt (central)

Shoots out homing prismatic bolts around her, then a line of ethereal lances towards the player

• Everlasting rainbow

Releases 3 rings of 12 stars that move clockwise after all rings are shot out multiple circles of lances will appear on the same spot; they will shoot out when the rings start spiraling inwards.

• Lance dance

Several circle shaped patterns of ethereal lances will appear, two circles will shoot outwards, the other two will shoot inwards in a circle pattern.

• Parallel lance walls

she will shoot out Everlasting rainbows which will form a large circle shaped arena, shortly after 2 walls of ethereal lances will appear on opposite sides of the arena and move in two parallel lines inwards.

• Lance checkerboard

Large sets of lances will appear crossing each creating a checkerboard like pattern, after a set of lances is fired the next set will appear.

Masochist mode

• Parallel Lance Wall moves faster
• Always release maximum amount of Ethereal Lance when performing the Dash attack
• Has shorter delay after performing Prismatic Bolt attack
• Can perform Lance Dance in p1
• Lance Dance attack has longer duration
• Lance Dance shoots an additional circle pattern inward, making the room to dodge tighter
• Has random attack order in phase 2
• More waves in Lance Checkerboard
• Can perform up to 4 Parallel lance walls in a row
• Uses circle lances with Everlasting rainbow in phase 1

Notes

• She has 50% damage resistance against projectiles that have homing including Chlorophyte Bullet.
• Prismatic Bolts and Everlasting Rainbows will appear translucent when in a non-damaging state.

Trivia

• If the Eternity Mode Recolors option is turned on in the Mod Configurations menu, it resembles the Empress of Night from the Terraria Fan Ideas Wiki.
