Eternity Mode Skeletron is a pre-Hardmode boss. It is a more powerful version of Skeletron with more attacks and new behavior.
Behavior
- Skeletron has two main attack modes that alter its attacks and behavior throughout both of its phases: idle and spinning. It indicates that it's about to spin by spawning a red, spinning reticle on the player.
No reticle, fires a cursed skull immediately after exiting spin phase at a point where the boss fires them.
- While spinning, it sprays rings of Bones with increasing speed as its life decreases (if no hands are alive). (Starts at maximum speed)
Phase 1
- Skeletron spawns with two hands that give him 50% damage resistance and high defense.
After clapping hands reverse direction and continue rotating, repeating until the spinning phase ends (each hand only shoots skull streams for the first half rotation).
- When not spinning hands will start by throwing one bone throwing skeleton each and then attacking one at a time with swift swipe at the player. (Alternates between using one and both hands.)
Under 75% health, Skeletron will enter phase 2.
Phase 2
- Skeletron keeps all of its attacks (except Skeletron Guardian walls) from the previous phase and adds an attack for each state. (Keeps Guardian walls.)
- While not spinning, Skeletron will fire wide 3 shaped spread of slowly accelerating Baby Guardians. As it's health decreases, the spreads get larger and denser, eventually completeing a heart with the tip behind the boss. There will always be a large empty space for the player to go through. This space occurs where the player originally was when Skeletron preformed the attack. (Always fires the full heart)
- While spinning, it'll spawn several Baby Guardians behind it, which then quickly home onto the player (Always fires maximum amount of baby Guardians)
- Skeletron gains several new attacks that will occur in synchronism with the baby Guardian swarms in spin phase, the will not overlap with the base Skeletron Guardian walls or each other, he will not use these if any hands are alive.
- 4 diagonal Guardian walls identical to the attack at the start of spin phase.
- 4 horizontal and vertical Guardian walls that converge on the player.
- A ring of Baby Guardians that converge on the player.
- A ring of 6 homing cursed skulls will fire out from the boss.
- Under 50% Skeletron enters phase 3
Phase 3
- Cannot be entered if there are hands remaining, Skeletron will refuse to go below 50% health and will never transition to phase 3.
This phase is announced with the chat message:"Skeletron has regrown it's arms!"
- Skeletron regrows 2/4 arms with no additional defense but keeping the 50% damage resistance.
- The difficulty of Skeletron's other attacks is lowered when hands are alive. (Only cursed skulls are lessened)
- Hands no longer fire streams of baby Guardians.
- All 4 arms always attack simultaneously.
- All 4 arms will collide with each other and clap during spin phase, Skeletron's left arms spin right and vice versa.
When Skeletron reaches 1 health he enters dungeon Guardian form.
Phase 4 (Dungeon Guardian)
- This phase is announced with the chat message:"Skeletron has entered Dungeon Guardian form!"
- Skeletron heals 60 health and loses all attacks except the bones, acts like it's daytime.
- Skeletron immediately starts at full speed upon entering Dungeon Guardian form.

Notes
- Instead of using Dungeon Guardian like ai at daytime, the boss is replaced with an actual Dungeon Guardian, with full eternity mode ai, that the hands follow.
- Because of this, unlike in the base game, the fight is completely forfeit once the night ends, as the Dungeon Guardian does not have Skeletron's drops or aftermath.
- Skeletron drops a Suspicious Skull on spawn if it hasn't been defeated yet.
- Do not attempt to use this item to spawn Skeletron during daytime, as it will simply spawn a Dungeon Guardian, which is almost always lethal.
Trivia
- If the Eternity Mode Recolors option is turned on in the Mod Configurations menu, it resembles the Lich boss, specifically his second phase, from Enter the Gungeon.
