The Eternity Mode Twins is a Hardmode boss. They are a more powerful version of The Twins with more attacks and new behavior.

Behavior

Phase 1

Both bosses start in their base game phase 2 forms immediately behaving identically to their original counterparts.

• During the phase transition animation, both twins have 50% damage reduction.

Phase 2

Each Twin enters it's second phase at 50% life.

Retinazer

• Passively emits harmless ruby particles.
• Uses a Blazing Deathray at the start of the phase and repeats periodically.
  • Blazing Deathray: Indicated by a large red circle indicator around the boss, spins with one quarter circle indicator before firing for one full circle. (Deathray is larger and spins for slightly longer.)
  • Both twins gain 50% damage reduction during the Deathray spin.
• Lasers are replaced with accelerating Yellow Electric Orbs which loosely home in on the player.
• Gains a reverse aura of burning during Deathray spin. (Reverse aura is smaller during Deathray spin and always present but larger outside spin.)

Spazmatism

• Indicates the start of this phase a large green circle indicator.
• Passively emits harmless emerald particles.
• Breathes cursed flames while charging and charges constantly when Retinazer is in normal AI, flamethrower becomes longer as health decreases. (Starts closer to maximum length.)
• Spins in tandem Retinazer while firing streams of Green Electric Orbs when Retinazer is in Deathray spin. As its health decreases, the amount of Orb streams increase. It starts off at 2 and caps at 5. always firs maximum amount of Orbs and spins in the opposite direction as the Deathray, forcing you to weave between the Orbs.
  • If in phase 1 during spin, halts it's movement. (Contises attacking with phase 1 ai.)

When one of the Twins are are brought to 1 life, they become invulnerable. They are defeated when both of them are at 1 life. (Twins die normally but the remaining twin enters phase 3.)

Phase 3

The other twin will revive in 10 seconds (with 25% health) until both twins are defeated.

• Spazmatism regains the normal flamethrower attack.
• Both twins shoot rings of 12 Electric Orbs or their respective color periodically.

Notes

• The Twins drops Some Kind of Metallic Eye when spawned if it has not yet been defeated on spawn.
• When the first twin is defeated, the status message: "<Name of Twin> endured the final blow to fight alongside its twin." appears in chat.
• In Masochist mode, the status message "<Name of Twin> has been revived" appears in chat when a twin is revived.

Trivia

• If the Eternity Mode Recolors option is turned on in the Mod Configurations menu, they resemble the Corruption and Crimson.
