The Penetrator is an Eternity Mode exclusive craftable post-Moon Lord endgame melee and ranged hybrid weapon.

It has 8 different attack modes, each used by a different key combination:

⚒ Use / Attack	The player dashes towards the cursor, leaving behind a trail of homing Phantasmal Spheres. The player is completely invulnerable throughout the dash.	Melee
⚒ Use / Attack+▲ Up	Spins the Penetrator around the player, spawning homing Phantasmal Eyes and reflecting all projectiles it hits.	Melee
⚒ Use / Attack+▼ Down	Dives down with the Penetrator at high speed, falling through platforms. Creates a colossal explosion on impact with the ground. The player is completely invulnerable throughout the dash.	Melee
⚒ Use / Attack+▲ Up+▼ Down	The player dashes faster towards the cursor, leaving behind two trails of homing Phantasmal Spheres and a small deathray. The player is completely invulnerable throughout the dash.	Melee
⚷ Open / Activate	Throws the Penetrator with a long cooldown, leaving behind two trails of homing Phantasmal Spheres and a small deathray.	Ranged
⚷ Open / Activate+▲ Up	Throws the spinning Penetrator like a boomerang at the position of the cursor, spawning homing Phantasmal Eyes and reflecting all projectiles it hits.	Ranged
⚷ Open / Activate+▼ Down	Spins the Penetrator, creating a pattern of Phantasmal Eyes that spins faster as it is held. The Penetrator does not reflect projectiles during this attack.	Ranged
⚷ Open / Activate+▲ Up+▼ Down	Shoots a massive deathray at the tip of the weapon while emitting several Phantasmal Spheres that rotate in opposite directions around the player.	Ranged

If the Penetrator directly hits an enemy in any of these modes, it causes a Phantasmal Blast that deals substantial damage and hits any enemy near it.

Its best modifier is Godly.
