Eternity Mode Vortex Pillar is a Hardmode boss. It is a more powerful version of Vortex Pillar with more attacks and new behavior.
Behaviour
Vortex Pillar will inflict Jammed inside of any of the other pillars aura's.
The Vortex Pillar will remain immune until its shield goes down, while immune it will occasionally open a portal which spawns 2 Alien Hornets.
After its shield has been destroyed enemies will stop spawning and the Pillar itself will do one of the following attacks:
- Shield
- Summons a circle shield around it which will reflect projectiles.
- Lightning Pillars
- Several sets of evenly spaced exclamation marks will appear signaling where Vortex Lightning Deathrays will fire.
- Lightning Pillar Convergence
- Exclamation marks followed by Lightning Deathrays repeatedly appear in on the edge of the arena and gradually move inwards until they converge into a single Deathray above the Pillar.
- Lightning Ball
- A lightning ball will appear shooting lightning, it will then split into 2 lightning balls moving outwards.
- Vortex Portal
- Only used after 33% of health is remaining, The Pillar summons a Vortex above itself sucking in the player and projectiles resembling nearby blocks. This phase will last until the Pillar or the player is dead.

Notes
- The "shield" attack will play the animation of the shield being destroyed.
- Jammed will not be inflicted near the Vortex Pillar, forcing Ranged weapons to be used.
- The aura for the debuffs will be lowered when the shield is destroyed.
